Narcissus Pipit
Narcissus Pipit is an award-winning daffodil, originated in the United States. Pipit is well known for transforming itself into the two-toned tint and has earned its spot as one of the favourites among flower enthusiasts! The flower starts out as lemon yellow and, as it matures, the centre will gradually fade into ivory-white colour keeping the trumpet original yellow.
Narcissus Pipit belongs to the Jonquilla group, which is well-known for its classic and perfectly symmetric petals that can face slightly backwards. This variety grows 2-3 flowers per stem and is sweetly fragrant. The flowers bloom in the late-spring and last longer than the earlier varieties, which makes them perfect concluders of the daffodil season.
Greek mythology says that there were handsome young men and beautiful young women, who were obsessed with admiring their own beauty that their personalities turned out to be very self-centered and narcissistic. As a result, the gods transformed them into the beautiful narcissus flowers.
