Tulip Angelique
Tulip 'Angelique': Romantic Elegance for Your Spring Garden
Bring a touch of dreamy romance and classic beauty to your garden with the enchanting Tulip 'Angelique'. This beloved variety has been an absolute favorite among gardeners for decades, and for good reason. Its unique, soft pink blooms transform any border, pot, or vase into a work of art.
The Tulip 'Angelique' is a beautiful double late tulip, meaning it blooms with lush, peony-like flowers reminiscent of delicate roses. Its countless, densely packed petals unfold in a brilliant soft pink hue, often with lighter, almost white edges, creating a subtle and refined color palette. This majestic tulip reaches a graceful height of approximately 40-50 cm (16-20 inches), making it perfect for creating romantic accents in your garden.
Plant 'Angelique' in larger groups for maximum visual impact, or combine it with other spring bloomers for a charming mixed border. It thrives best in a sunny to partially shaded location with well-draining soil. You can enjoy its long-lasting bloom in late spring, when many other tulips have already faded. Furthermore, the flowers of 'Angelique' are excellently suited as cut flowers to adorn your home with their elegant presence and delicate fragrance. Its romantic allure and classic, peony-like flower shape make it a timeless choice for any garden enthusiast.
Looking for a similar appearance but an earlier bloom time? The Tulip Foxtrot is a double early tulip with a comparably full, rose-like bloom and a beautiful soft pink/cream color palette, but it flowers slightly earlier in the season.
Add the timeless beauty of Tulip 'Angelique' to your garden and let yourself be enchanted by its romantic splendor!
