The colour of the flower of the Canasta tulip bulb is red with a white edge. The edge has a serration. The heart is white, the pistil is green and the stamens are black. The flower stands on a short, sturdy stem. They keep well and flower for a long time. The flowers all grow to about the same length. They look nice at the front of the border. Canasta tulip bulbs also do very well in a pot or container. One of the most important rules is: make sure they are well drained because tulip bulbs cannot stand too much moisture.
