This beautiful Verbena bonariensis, also called vervain, is a beautiful purple perennial plant. It is often grown as an annual, but can survive our winters if proper winter protection is provided. This special plant blooms from June to October, its growth height is approximately 100 cm.

Leave these plants in the sun, these beauties self-seed strongly, so that there are usually seedlings that can bloom again in the spring. These perennials are regularly used in the TV program De Grote Tuinverbouwing. They are ideal because of their beautiful structure and can be easily combined with other plants in a border. The name vervain comes from the fact that this plant was used in the Middle Ages for stab wounds, it healed the wound and is anti-inflammatory. Enjoy this special one from the Hellogarden® series of perennials with its warm purple appearance.
