This beautiful white garden pearl is called Liatris spicata ‘Floristan Weiss’. The Dense Blazing Star (Liatris spicata), also known as the button snakewort, prairie-pine or the florist gayfeather, is a hardy perennial with a long flowering period from June to September. This plant is very suitable to keep your garden colourful and to give your garden some height since the Liatris can grow up to 70 cm. Liatris can be planted in almost every variety of soil and is very suitable for planting in small groups. The little flowers of the Liatris spicata start all the way at the top of the stem. The prairie-pine is the perfect cut flower and is often used in bouquets. Queen Flowerbulbs has included two varieties that you don’t see very often. Besides Liatris spicata ‘Floristan Weiss’ we also offer the wonderfully pink Liatris spicata ‘Kobold’.
