Where do I plant my flower bulbs?

Do you also struggle to decide the best spot for each flower bulb in your garden? We have some tips to help you determine the ideal location for your bulbs!

  1. Draw a map of your garden and mark where trees, shrubs, and other permanent plants are located.
  2. Indicate the colors and heights of the existing plants. This way, you can avoid having a lovely small shrub suddenly hidden behind a group of tall tulips.
  3. On the map, it’s also practical to note where the most sunlight is and where the sun only shines briefly. This can influence the type of bulb you can plant in that spot. For instance, tulips can thrive in full sun.
  4. After creating this map, you can start thinking about which colors and heights will complement your permanent plants. It's best to mix different shades of green foliage to make the various plants stand out more.

Now comes the fun part of planning your garden: choosing the flower bulbs! In our shop, you can easily sort by height, color, and type using the search menu. This makes it easier to find the right bulbs for every spot in your garden. Tall flowers look beautiful among your existing shrubs. For example, Alliums can grow up to 180 cm tall! Fritillarias also grow tall, reaching about 90 cm.

If you prefer low-growing spring bloomers, think of crocuses, grape hyacinths, or low-growing tulips.

If you only want tulips, select that category to see all the tulips available. If you also select a color, you will only see tulips with the flower color you are looking for. We have tulips ranging from white to black!

Once you have chosen your bulbs, you can mark on your map where you want to plant them. This makes it easy to plant them in the right place when they are delivered.

On our website, each product is clearly labeled with icons indicating its height, planting depth, spacing, blooming months, whether the bulbs are naturalizing, suitable for pots, can be used as cut flowers, whether they are fragrant, and if they are deer and rodent resistant!

Enjoy your search for the perfect flower bulbs!
