Daffodil Petit Four
If you are looking for a WOW-Factor, then narcissus Petit Four is the one! This incredible beauty got the 2nd place at the Narcissus Show in Keukenhof (Netherlands). The flower features six ivory-white petals that have tiny points at the tips and elegant, frilled double trumpets in the centre. The coronas start out as apricot-yellow and turn fully pink as the flower matures. Sweetly scented and 40 cm long flowers are perfect for cut flower use, spring containers and borders as well as look lovely in combination with blue hyacinths.
Petit Four belongs to the Double Narcissus group, which features lovely frills and twice as more petals or trumpets (in rare cases – both). The bulbs are weather-resistant, they do not require any special care and can quickly multiply for many years to come. Daffodils are also deer and rabbit resistant.
Greek mythology says that there were handsome young men and beautiful young women, who were obsessed with admiring their own beauty that their personalities turned out to be very self-centered and narcissistic. As a result, the gods transformed them into the beautiful narcissus flowers.
